Afternoon or evening arrival in Bali, and then transfer from the Airport to a Hotel in or around Bali. Settle into your room with a welcome drink.
6:00 PM – Balinese style dinner and getting to know each other!
Our accommodation is called Villa Kembang Ubud. All bedrooms are twin-shared with either 2 Singles OR Single / Queen.
This property boasts 7 bedrooms, 2 swimming pools, a pool table, and plenty of space. One of the compound’s Infinity Pool appears to have been one of the rice field terraces carved out of the hillside.
While taking a relaxing dip, you get a totally unobstructed view of rice terraces magically forming a stairway as well as green thickets of tropical trees.
Right beyond the stone washout fringes of the pool are Day Beds where you can bathe in the sun. Under the shade of a Bale nearby, you can sit and cool down or, when it’s cloudy, just take in the cool mountain air. Behind the day beds is a verdant lawn leading uphill to the various villas.
There is also a spa area with a spa menu available. This will be provided closer to the date of departure.
You can check out the villa here: http://www.villakembangbali.com/

Plenty of opportunity for those insta-worthy photos while we explore the lush tropical rice terrace-inspired grounds spread across 8 hectares of land. We will all have an opportunity to experience the famous Bali swing before we head off on our next adventure—rafting down the Ayung River.
Ayung River is one of the most popular rafting spots in Bali because it has stable water conditions all year round and is suitable for any level of rafting experience. It has medium rapids (approx. level 2-3) and offers 12km of rafting track, taking approx. 2 hrs. Lunch will be at the rafting house after our Bali swing and before we head off on our rafting adventure!
Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

7:00 AM – Pick up for our Lembongan adventure. Today is by far one of my favourite days on the Itinerary. We’ll be picked up at 7 a.m. to head down to Sanur, where we board our fast boat and head over to Lembongan Island.
From the island, we make our way around to our next stop where we will drop our bags and replace them with a sea kayak and paddle out into the mangroves. From here we will paddle our way back to our bags and pick up your flippers and snorkel.
Board a small boat and head out to the reefs for an afternoon of magical adventure exploring the reefs. (Lunch & snacks included)
Today is a long day, we expect to be back at the villa approx. 6 p.m.
Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner

We will even find out what comes first, the chicken or the egg!
4:30 PM – Return to the villa
6:30 PM – Dinner
Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner
2:00 AM – Departure for Lake Batur to climb the volcano by sunrise. This is an exciting and challenging day. Anyone with an average level of fitness can achieve the goal of getting to the top by sunrise.
It is a very outdoorsy experience, walking on steep paths, walking by torchlight for the first hour, the last km is quite steep, and of course, navigating your way down some rocky paths on the way back down. But reaching the top makes it all worthwhile. Take home a great sense of achievement and some fantastic photos.
There will be two to three guides with the group. They are very experienced and helpful. They are there to give you a hand if you need it. Usually, the group breaks into different places, and the guides split up accordingly. It is not a problem to walk at a slower pace, as you won’t hold up others who may want to steam ahead. We have time to relax at the top, so it’s not a race.
Once we hit the bottom we will take a short walk to the Hot Springs where we will soak in the natural springs and enjoy a foot massage at the local spa.
When we return: Upon return from our volcano climb we will have breakfast at the villa. As soon as breakfast is finished the rest of the day is yours to do as you please.
You can go shopping, head into the hustle and bustle of Ubud or simply relax and do absolutely nothing…
6:30 PM – Dinner and celebration
Meals included: Breakfast and Dinner
7:00 AM–8:00 AM Our Last Group Fitness Session
8:00 AM–9:00 AM Breakfast
11:00 AM – Check-out
Afternoon or evening arrival back home…

Bali offers a lot of opportunities to explore the outdoors. From hiking with monkeys to crossing rivers, you will work up a sweat here!
You only live once, so we wish you the best in staying healthy while travelling. Remember, exercise leads to happiness and health!
As many people who have visited Bali know, it can be a little difficult to leave this island paradise behind.
4 x sets of workout gear as a minimum.
It is best to bring 2 pairs of shoes—one old pair for muddy conditions.
Comfortable stretch pants and a t-shirt or singlet.
Workout gear works best. Bring gear, including sports shoes that you don’t mind getting wet and dirty at times.
We spend a lot of time outdoors, so pack suitable sandals or thongs. Preferably bring two pairs of sports shoes as this allows time for one pair to dry if necessary. Old shoes are best!
Lightweight, casual clothes for the tropics. Light long-sleeved t-shirts and pants for the surprisingly cool evenings/early mornings. Sleep in whatever is comfortable for cool nights.
Swimmers/Bathers
Hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, insect repellent—it’s the tropics!
It can be very cool when you start, but you will soon be warm. Wear layers. A nylon wind jacket or a jumper is a good idea.
TIP: It is freezing at the summit, so a jumper or jacket is handy!
Ensure that your passport is valid for 6 months with 1 empty page.
If you are unsure about the airport arrival process, you might want to use one of the VIP arrival services now available. They will meet you in the arrival hall and escort you through the entire visa/customs/luggage process.
There are many services. Google “VIP Airport Service Bali” for some results; this service will cost extra.
Your package includes group transfers to the Villa. We pick you up at specified times from the airport or nearby hotels.
You will be advised of group transfer arrangements once all guest details are confirmed.
The local currency is the Indonesian Rupiah and the exchange rates can fluctuate.
It is easy to change money; don’t bother trying to get Rupiah in Australia. (Only exchange a small amount in Australia if needed. The exchange rates are better once you are over there.) If you are not confident in getting money exchanged while you are in Bali, we can do it on your behalf.
ATM and currency exchange are available at the airport. (Please note: there are no money-changing facilities at the Villa).
You will only need cash for your extras whilst you are away (shopping, alcoholic beverages, tipping etc.)
We have mobile phone reception and Wi-Fi, but no landlines.
Ensure that global roaming is organised to your phone BEFORE you leave home.
Indonesia code is +62.
To use your phone with a local sim card, do the following:
For safety reasons, we are unable to accept guests who have a fatal allergy to any food.
We are equipped to serve separate meals; however, there will be times when the closest hospital is 2 hours away, and we prefer not to put anyone at risk.
Only drink bottled water, including when cleaning your teeth.
If you are a wine drinker, bring your own wine (or spirits if that’s what you’re into) as it is difficult and very expensive to buy locally.
We can provide juices, tonics, sodas etc. for you to mix with your own spirits.
Make sure you have travel insurance (this is compulsory for all our guests). Please send us a copy of your travel insurance.
Please bring a photocopy of your passport photo page, travel insurance documents, and flight details.
Be responsible for any medical conditions you may have. Pack your medications and fill any prescriptions necessary, as they may not be available over there.
The guides that we use are phenomenal. They go above and beyond to make our experience as wonderful and authentic as possible. It’s not a must, but I always tip the crew from our daily activity. If you wish to put a small contribution towards this, I usually collect it at the end of the day and hand it to them as we are heading back into the villa.
The same goes for the staff at the villa, who will do absolutely anything for you. A tip is usually collected at the end of the stay and given to Putu (villa manager) to divide between the staff. Again, this is not mandatory however if you feel you would like to contribute I know that they really appreciate it.
